We are looking to recruit a Managing Editor to assist the Head of Publishing and Editor-in-Chief in coordinating, editing, publishing, promoting and developing The International Journal of Gynecology & Obstetrics (IJGO) and any other publications supplemental to the Journal.

Clear communication is particularly important for us because our mission is to level the playing field when it comes to access to opportunities, and a big part of this effort is fair and straightforward access to information. Over the last few years, with only a small and mostly non-specialist team, we have created hundreds of videos aimed at students and teachers. We now have an exciting slate of new video projects that we want to produce. We want to use video:

What you’ll lead on
As an Assistant Video Editor, your role will be to edit new videos for students aged 11-18. You will also help to keep our existing content up to date and in line with our high standards. Unifrog publishes videos and written content on a variety of topics for students including: applying for university in the UK and overseas, preparing for college or work, and taking care of your wellbeing.

Edit and polish videos for various sections on our platform, including University Profiles, Employer Profiles, and Careers Library Profiles, with a keen eye for detail and quality.

Work within assigned deadlines to ensure timely delivery of videos.

Mix and equalise interview audio with soundtracks to create a seamless viewing experience for our users.

Implement pre-existing video templates and consistently improve them over time to ensure visual consistency across all platform sections.

Edit webinars and internal videos to meet platform requirements and user expectations.

Communication

Maintain effective communication with the Video Team, including project managers, producers, and other stakeholders, to ensure that video projects meet the required standards and are delivered on time.

Proactively suggest creative and innovative ideas to improve the quality of our videos and enhance the viewing experience for students.

Quality Control

Perform quality checks on all videos before they are published to the platform, ensuring that they meet the required standards for visual and audio quality, accuracy, and completeness.

Monitor subtitles generated by in-house subtitling software and performing a complete quality-check before making the video live on the platform

Working together
You’ll be managed by our Post Production Manager, and work closely with an in-house Video Producer/Director and Video Editor. You will also work with our partner-facing teams, as well as with external bodies where necessary.
The Video Team is part of a wider Content Team, where we often brainstorm new ideas as a group, provide feedback on each other’s work, and get feedback from teachers and students at our partner schools. We promote good ideas regardless of where they come from.

Duties and Key relationships Marketing and Communications
This is a new role in the Marketing and Communications department and is responsible for the media relations of the Charity.
PR and Media Relations
• To develop relevant media contacts, as well as contacts in the sector, to maximise the reach and coverage of key communications campaigns as well as wider organisational projects.
• Produce creative copy written for a variety of audience groups which champions and shows best practice of our tone of voice
• Develop and support in house PR roll out
· Work with external PR agency on selected press releases where relevant

Head of Content is a new role for the RSS and is designed to enable a more strategic approach to the editorial work we deliver. You will coordinate content across the Society, ensuring outputs and derivative products are tailored and targeted to meet the different needs and interest levels of different audiences. The post will require a mix of hands-on content creation and editorial leadership. One of your first tasks will be to transition Real World Data Science, our publication for data science practitioners, to new editorial arrangements to ensure its continued growth as a platform for knowledge sharing across academia, industry and the public sector. This will also provide you the opportunity to work alongside key members and stakeholders who are leading our response to the challenges and opportunities posed by recent developments in artificial intelligence.

Our Head of Content will:

Work with wider RSS staff to develop our understanding of the preferences and needs of key internal and external audiences to better align content to those preferences and needs.

Lead the creation and delivery of a fully-costed plan for content development, maintenance and review that aligns with key strategic goals and activities.

Create or commission accurate, engaging, up-to-date and challenging content that fulfils particular editorial briefs, establishing and liaising with editorial boards to ensure technical integrity of published content.

Duties and responsibilities
Content Planning

Fauna & Flora’s Eurasia programme is seeking a Programme Administrator to undertake a key supporting role within the programme; working closely with the Programme Finance Officer to deliver administrative, information management and office support to the Eurasia team and its projects, helping ensure compliance with internal systems, policies and procedures and donor requirements.
The successful candidate will have excellent administration skills and previous experience in a similar role (including use of Microsoft Office). They will be highly organised, methodical in their approach to work and have meticulous attention to detail. They will be a strong team player and enjoy working in a dynamic team environment where problem solving and the ability to respond swiftly to changing organisational and team needs is paramount. They will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build positive and productive working relationships with colleagues, including with those based overseas.

Fauna & Flora is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Programme Assistant to deliver effective support to the Conservation Capacity & Leadership team. The successful candidate will assist the Director and Conservation Capacity & Leadership team members in delivering the programme’s targets, through administration, basic finance and logistical support, disseminating learning and communications. The role will in particular support Fauna & Flora’s conservation leadership, partner support, and professional development initiatives.
You will have strong relevant experience in an administrative role, with excellent numeracy, organisational and time management skills and a structured and methodical approach to work.
Your excellent interpersonal skills will enable you to build strong working relationships with colleagues. You will be a self-motivated team player and enjoy working in a dynamic environment where the ability to respond swiftly to changing organisational and team needs is paramount. With excellent communication skills, you will have a proven ability to write for a range of audiences. Fluency in English is essential.
